This project transforms a dark and cramped 1990’s kitchen into a bright, modern centerpiece that draws on existing Art Deco features in the rest of the home. The remodel opens the space, flooding the kitchen with light from both an existing skylight and a small interior courtyard. In an otherwise restrained minimal space with touches of Deco, the new backsplash features a graphic black and white artichoke hex tile, a hearty Deco nod to the home’s 1940’s origin.
